Touched by the Tsunami tragedy like the rest of the world, the alternative rock/pop community have mobilised (mostly at gigs and on the net) to set up a wealth (literally) of fund raising events to maintain donations to the Tsunami Relief charity.

Tsunami Relief is a new charity formed to raise funds for the relief aid efforts in SE Asia following the Boxing Day earthquake and devastating tsunami tidal wave.

Through events and other fundraising activities, they aim to maintain the public awareness of the issues faced by survivors and to support social, economic and spiritual redevelopment programmes.

RELIEF is co-ordinated by photographer and editor of the music site Joy, Paul Madden (www.joyzine.co.uk) and Jim Brazier, front man of art punks, Rhesus (www.rhesus.info) and a growing wealth of friends, fans and supporters.
