Description

Willow screens have a number of advantages over your typical wooden bin store – they shield your bins from view while allowing wind to pass through, increasing their resistance to wind damage. They also add a more natural look, making them the ideal choice for a wildlife-friendly garden. Want to conceal your unsightly wheelie bins but aren’t sure how? I hear you. Wheelie bin storage offers a range of benefits, keeping our wheelie bins out of view, ensuring they’re secure, and protecting them from wind damage and pests.

As we said above, there are really two solid options here. Which one you go with will really depend on your needs, but here are the broad categories: Bin ScreensMade from natural woven willow with a strong metal framework, it creates a rustic design to cover and disguise plastic bins. The willow is woven round the metal frame work, giving it an extra level of support as well as making each panel easy to move individually. On top of this, since we produce our own bin stores, so we know the market well and see these kinds of products every day.

Venetian is a great fence panel to combine with climbing plants, as the vines will intertwine around the pales creating a green screen, which will eventually conceal what is behind. What better way to use a front wall than to hide your bins? This clever design has gone a step further and disguised the bins within the hedging, keeping them neatly out of the way of people walking by and out of sight from the house. You could also make the most of your front steps by incorporating a bin store if there’s space. If heavy duty is your style, metal is a clear winner. It is the pinnacle of weather-resistant, durability, and strength – it beats all other materials in this area. So, if these are your priority, metal is a clear choice. However, some downsides of metal wheelie bin stores are they’re typically expensive, very weighty, and will only suit some garden designs. They may also rust if a rustproof coating hasn’t been applied, so look out for this when buying!Set up is as simple as deciding where to place it and how to anchor it. You can easily anchor the screen into soft ground, or attach it to other fencing for more stability. The side panels are hinged for easy access, and since this is willow it's really maintenance-free. The ultimate in wheelie concealing, if you have space, a purpose-built cupboard with a bolting or latched door keeps everything out of sight, and you can use the roof for plants in containers. Other styles that would make good bin hiding options are Diamond and Tartan Trellis. With larger apertures, the panels offer less concealment capabilities but paired with planting they can effectively hide what is behind. What do you need to install a bin screening panel? Need a place to keep your logs dry this winter? While making (or buying!) a bin store, keep your logs in mind. This combination wheelie bin, recycling box and log storage unit will take up considerable space, so I don’t recommend this option for small gardens. However, it’s the go-to storage solution if you have space to spare! It doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy and feels like its high quality, which is really important for wheelie bin screens since they’re going to be outside and, well frankly, next to your bins. It needs to be able to withstand quite a bit of dirt and mess, as well as not become ruined or dirty too easily when the bin gets a bit too full.
