About this deal

At a guess, I would say that the Citadel Battle Figure case could hold around 1000-1500 points of any sized miniatures up to 50mm. If you’re looking for a do-it-all army transport case that doesn’t require you to fiddle with foam bits and plucking open spaces for all your stuff, the Crusade Case (or its smaller siblings) may be what you’re looking for! Though the weight of these heavier models (generally made of pewter) may shift the foam and surrounding content a bit more.

We know that you want the best protection for your miniatures – the foam inside the case is slightly larger than the case itself, and will compress around the figures when closed, ensuring a minimum of movement for any miniature. The main attraction of 40k is the miniatures, but there are also many video games, board games, books, ect. My initial concern that the compressed foam would damage or bend parts of my miniatures was unfounded after using this case for a few days. The gaps in the foam are just wide enough to allow for miniatures to slot in carefully, and the bases of the models sit flush on top of the tray without sticking out too much.

The hinge in the back is reinforced with a metal pin (an upgrade from other cases that use plastic hinges that can break or warp over time). All we ask is the product still be in its original packaging and you have your proof of purchase and we'll be happy to help. uk and send your item to: Ashdown Gaming, The Wheatsheaf, Mount Pleasant, Crowborough, TN6 2NF, United Kingdom. Although the foam is flexible, it doesn’t feel like it's going to break as you move the miniatures from the case to the battlefield and back again. On the other hand, if you have a small army for a skirmish game such as Kill Team, you might find the smallest of the three cases more optimal for the ground troops you’re running. The foam that Citadel has used for this case is beautifully soft, but still sits on the sturdy side. Much like the other Citadel cases, the Battle Figure Case is a well-made case that’s suited for any 40K player. The size of the case is 10 x 8 x 10 inches, so it’s a pretty big case, but still a fair bit smaller than the Crusade. The trays are the typical channel foam that’s become the staple of Citadel cases for the past few years.

I’ve fit 25 space marines, 20 terminators (with banners and halberds), 2 fully glued together dread knights (with greatswords! Essentially, the foam is pliable and flexible enough to fit large and small models without too much effort. The case is made of a hard plastic, so you aren’t going to get dings and dents in it and your miniatures are kept safe. g., Battlefoam, Sabol transports, but have now considered the Citadel line of carrying cases At first, I had mixed feelings, but now I think the Citadel Cases are one of the best options for safely carrying your miniatures wherever you need to go. The individual “channels” appear to have been constructed by gluing individual foam zig-zag strips into a foam “frame”. If you do have an army that contains a lot of large vehicles, behemoths or dragons, you may want to opt for the larger of the three cases that are on offer.
