I seem to use it on everything!” I did use Sole Cleanse and Field Paste on the other three hooves while on box rest. Field Paste worked better than Sole Paste imo for box rest. I have used Sole Cleanse and Field Paste ad hoc for years to keep thrush at bay in wet weather (mud) Hoof-Stuff will be harder when cold and softer when warm, over time the honey in it may also crystalise hardening it. Putting it somewhere warm for a long period of time will help soften it again. It is driving me mad now, I want to gone by the time winter sets in if possible as it will be even more difficult to get rid of it then!

A lot, not all, aren't aware of the benefits of a period without shoes or how the foot should function and the effect that diet has on hooves. Field Paste is a firm favourite.”However without seeing a picture and based in the information it does sound like if there is a deep cleft than heels have to be contracted to some degree and if the frog is weak there is also a chance that the heels are underrun but masked with shoeing. It's not sheared heels, but it is a significant thrush infection (and a very long foot! that is an exceptional amount of growth for 5 weeks) Artimud fills shallow gaps in hooves and provides long-lasting protection against damage. It contains naturally active agents that cleanse the area and support the formation of healthy tissue. I was reluctant to use Field Paste as I thought it was all hype, now I use it and my mares hooves are fantastic will carry on over the winter to keep her feet in good condition” My horse Arnie had a terrible foot abscess a while ago where the vet decided to cut open a large part of the front of his hoof thinking the abscess was there and to relieve the pain, however it was much deeper than this and the abscess eventually burst at the coronet!

Field Paste is my “go-to” solution when I’m concerned about my horses hoof health. Good effective product” Nothing has been added to bulk the product out or make it cheaper/easier to produce. Every ingredient has a job – to work to solve the problem that it is there to deal with. How to use Hoof-Stuff – it’s not that hard! I have used your Field Paste recently on my shod horse and it has done a brilliant job of clearing up the smell and discolouration on his hooves that I have been fighting for at least a year. I have no hesitation in recommending it if I have a friend with a horse with the same issue.”I love Field Paste. My pony gets very smelly feet as soon as the ground is damp. I wish I could find some old pics of his hooves but sadly I changed phones and lost them. His hinds have always held quite a nice compact shape but he would square the ends off and his fronts would always splay outwards making the issue of a flat sole worse. All four feet however, have always been quite flat underneath with no definition, I would always have at least 1 set of shoes on a year to just try and help with the fronts a bit. This spans across the use of three farriers since my old farrier died when he was 4 and so I just always put it down to the beast because all the farriers I used at my old yard have incredible reputations and generally do an excellent job on all other horses I know. But since his move and his trim by John his entire foot shape has noticeably changed for the better, honestly his reputation up here is very well deserved! Absolutely fantastic stuff. I use the Field Paste and it’s works magic on my ponies feet. Highly recommend” Bought the Artimud when my horse had an abscess. Best thing ever, was able to still turn him out in a muddy field . Dressing and bandage perished but Artimud stayed in the hole and kept it clean!!” I had mine on a very similar diet to yours, all based on Top Spec products. They are now on various quantities of Fast Fibre, Micronised Linseed and Pro Hoof, with a bit of low-alpha chaff for bulk and have never looked better. It might be worth a look at the contents of Pro Hoof and having a think about that. You just need to be careful what you add to it, might not be necessary.
