I've tested both variants of the Defence 4 and the 185 (M) is a better fit for someone of my height (5ft 8"). However, in very cold conditions where you may want to store your boots (and other damp gear) in a waterproof bag inside your sleeping bag, to prevent them icing up, the extra length provided by the 200 (L) can makes this a little more comfortable.
