About this deal

The best guppy food should have a good mixture of animal and plant matter. A good diet for a guppy should contain about 30 percent protein and five percent fat. Be sure to avoid food products with fillers and additives, as they will not provide any added value to your guppies. It is available in granules or pellets The product is manufactured in small batches for maximum quality control and to preserve the freshness. Both the variants are available in 45g quantity. The larvae consume the fruit and vegetables, converting the nutrients into protein and good fats. After a 14-day feeding cycle, the larvae are harvested and dried into a highly nutritious flour, ready for Bug Bites production. More than meets the eye As the ingredients are prepared in small batches within Fluval’s own facility, there is complete control and quality assurance. Guppies are fun and colorful fish that are suitable for beginners and experienced aquarists. They come in two basic types, male and female. Females are larger and rounder than males, and have a rounded tail with a triangular or fan shape. The males, on the other hand, are more streamlined and have a colorful tail.

Bug Bites is available in five different formulas; Tropical for small and medium/large fish, Colour Enhancing, Cichlid, Bottom Feeder and Goldfish.

The formula is made for tropical and cold-water fish. The insect-based formula contains high protein and is palatable to fish of all life stages. The product is made from sustainably harvested ingredients. Guppies, rasboras, and large cichlids can all thrive on this nutritious food. The product is also suitable for shrimps and other tropical fish. It is created using sustainable methods

Insect protein is becoming increasingly popular across the world, not just in animal feed but for humans too. The term ‘insect protein powder’ has seen a 49% increase in Google searches since 2014! Over the last four years since launching in 2017, Bug Bites have become widely recognised as a quality, established fish food, winning numerous awards including being voted Aquatic Product of the Year by UK aquatic retailers! Due to the higher protein, and high fat levels, this formula would probably work well as a conditioning food for fish getting ready to spawn, but due to the reasons listed above I would not feed as a daily staple, to polys, or anything else. This food isn't exactly new, it's been on the market for over a year. I started feed trials with it last year. Probably just took a while to reach parts of the USA.

Save Energy. Save Money.

The benefits of Bug Bites go way beyond being simply a tasty food for your fish. The presence of Omega 3 and 6 contributes to heathier skin, fins and scales which promotes vibrant colours, and the powerful mix of vitamins, minerals and nutrients builds a complete, balanced diet that keeps your fish happy and healthy. Now, “Bug Bites” is divided into four different categories to cover the most popular tropical fish. The four types are Tropical, Cichlid, Goldfish and Bottom Feeder. We further broke down each group to clear up any questions you might have below. Crude protein (%) (min) 40.0, Crude fat (%) (min) 12.5, Crude fiber (%) (max) 5.0, Moisture (%) (max) 10.0, Ash (%) (max) 9.0, Calcium (%) (min) 1.50%, Phosphorus (%) (min) 0.80%, Vitamin A (IU/kg) (min) 2,500, Vitamin D3 (IU/kg) (min) 2,400, Vitamin E (IU/kg) (min) 75.

The answer is YES, a food that is created with staying as close to natural as possible and your fish will love. Bug Bites is fish food that provides all-around nutrition while staying away from fillers and using bugs!

To undertake this task, Fluval teamed up with forward-thinking organisations devoted to eliminating food waste and nutrient shortage through the creation of renewable food for animals and plants. If combined (peas/potato/wheat) the inclusion rate of terrestrial based plant matter in this formula might be alarming. all species of fish readily eat it, except one, my adult midas. He prefers anything but, the bugs. I would expect most polys to eat it without too much issue. I suspect the high fat level adds to the taste/smell. Being highly palatable and comprised of clean ingredients, with no added artificial fillers, colours or preservatives, Bug Bites are easily digested, resulting in less waste and therefore a cleaner aquarium.
