Single mode option is full 180 lumen brightness every time or dual mode option has two power levels which are simply selected by twisting the Mini Maglite on/off and then on to give a choice between 180 or 55 lumens Longer battery life results from the circuit built into the unit which completely utilizes the power from the batteries, whilst maintaining constant light output. The TTS-2AA a high quality Philips 1.5 Watt two power level LED bi-pin bulb designed to fit 2 AA Mini Maglite® torches. This upgrade is a direct replacement for the original bulb, it now includes a polished solid metal reflector. To change power levels simply twist the Mini Maglite head on/off.

Pushing the switch tool down the barrel, one can feel the tool's stems inserting into holes at the end of the barrel. These holes are part of the inner part of the switch. With a little more effort, the outer platform's stems will be pushed out from the inside of the Mini Mag. With the platform off you can see the two stems. Holding the tool firmly in place while you push the stems of the outer part of the switch into the holes of the inner part of the switch as it is held at the front of the Mini Mag with the tool completes the switch assembly.
