About this deal

I picked it up on impulse earlier today, and while it was a quick enough read that I don't exactly regret that impulse, I didn't quite get anything out of this. The author does a great job to really highlight how even a Black person with the highest standing in a country will still be viewed as a Black first and thus inferior. I loved the characters and was rooting for them all the way through; the side of romance was perfect and there were many moments that had me giggling.

As a secondary school librarian this is the exact sort of book which the kids love, so I can’t wait to have it available to them. In the summer after graduation, Autumn and Finny reconnect and are finally ready to be more than friends.as the first black heir to the british throne, there are enough people in his country who want james out of the picture. Although I found some of the beginning slow to start, once it kicked off, I was fully enthralled by everything The King Is Dead represented.

Abel has to work with the other three, while also passing on information about them to get help with his own attempt to get justice for his brother. Ryan Hudson was the star of Omni but her role is seemingly being snatched by Ella, she has a tough exterior and seemingly no family, she’s had to fight for everything she got amid the racism of casting and racist views, as well as a new stalker making her home feel unsafe. Juno Dawson, author of Her Majesty's Royal Coven ‘A compelling thriller that stays with you long after you’ve finished reading. The plot twists were absolutely amazing and had me shocked at every turn, as every time I thought I had figured out what was going on, something else happened and changed my perception.

After meeting Lucky, Ryan and Ella, his co-stars, Abel quickly realises that the beneath the surface of the glamour and glitz of acting, there is a very different, much darker world; one that can be deadly. I had much more fun just going along with the drama in this way, and there were at least 10 moments in the last 10 percent alone that would have warranted cuing the Eastenders theme song. From award-winning author Benjamin Dean comes a deliciously dark and addictive YA thriller following the lives of Gen Z’s rich and famous through the lens of an undercover teen journalist. With thanks to Dean’s previous career as a celebrity journalist, we get the inside and outside story, up close and personal!
